How to Be a Licensed Electrician
Licensure requirements will vary depending on the jurisdiction. Some states require that a licensed electrician be the one to perform certain kinds of jobs. Some places may not even require it! In any case, those that do require licensure will often require at least a high school diploma or a GED and enrollment in some sort of formal training course, though there may be ways to just get the exams outright in some jurisdictions. In the United States, most states will require apprenticeship for up to seven years before exams could be taken.
