Radiology Assistant Certification and Job Opportunities
A radiology assistant is a health worker that works with a radiology physician to produce imaging diagnosis of patients. He helps by preparing patients for example answering their questions about the procedure and also by getting their consent for the imaging where this is needed. He will also help the physician in instances where invasive procedures have to be done. He may also interpret the resulting image before his superiors do. Training has to included a practical portion and certification can be obtained form the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists who give the Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) title.
