Configuration Management Training: Main Characteristics

Drawing on the experiences from participatory design research in a configuration management training, we may therefore claim the following characteristics of problem diagnosis:  Problem diagnosis takes a starting point with the organizational actors (in our case the project manager's perception of problems).

It takes seriously the problem of commencing the change based on the organization's culture, history, and population, as well as the background and experience of the organization's actors. Problem diagnosis leads to gradual rather than radical change.
