Industrial design masters degree

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Masters programs in Industrial Design tend to focus on the technical aspects of the items on which they are working but will also address issues such as ergonomics, safety and manufacturing economics. An industrial design masters degree will usually be 2 years in duration (assuming the student already has a bachelor’s degree in art design field or similar). There are some schools that will offer 3 year courses for students from disciplines other than art or design which are intended to provide a pre-requisite year of basic design skills, concepts and competencies which will then allow students to go on and complete the 2 year Masters In Industrial Design program.

Symbiosis Distance Learning Courses

Monday, August 11th, 2008

These days, it is possible to become trained, certified, or degreed in almost any field of study without entering a classroom. Today's on line courses are nothing like the old postal mail courses (where the student was really just corresponding in writing with the education institution). Today's Symbiosis distance learning courses have helped distance learning become more synchronous (which means that the student does interact with the teacher in real time, but not face to face). Basic vocational training through MS (Master's) degrees are available with distance courses. The scope of training available is truly staggering - if you are interested in health sciences, you can get that online; if art history or early childhood education are what interests you, they are available online.

Saturday, July 26th, 2008

Counseling psychology is a relatively new field that deals with the blending of psychological research and theory using therapy. It shows how we can use therapy to change or interpret the psychological processes of somebody’s mind. The US is a good place to pursue your masters in counseling psychology because of the sheer variety of schools that are offering post graduate programs. You will need to have gained a certain amount of experience in this field and that is important in determining what to master in. There are different paths to choose from and you would need to choose one that is closely related to your work area - be it with relationships or individuals.

Learni Russian Quickly

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

As a fluent English speaker, I usually find myself correcting people who speak English as a second language. I don't try to make fun of them, I just try to correct their pronunciation of words and phrases. I would expect the same if I were to learn how to speak Russian, because that is one way to speed up the learning process. Coming to think about it, other English speakers often correct me when I mispronounce words while speaking English. That is the benefit of having native speakers around when you speak a foreign language. By having them correct your speech you avoid the many bad habits new speakers face. Once you get those bad habits it becomes so ingrained in your speech pattern that you go about thinking you are speaking properly.
