Obedience training is very beneficial for a dog. These dog training classes will teach your pet some basic commands. Sit, stay, and heel are some of the things that a dog will learn at these classes. The trainer cannot do it alone though. Successful dog training takes time, patience, and consistency from the owner, as well as the dog trainer. A child goes to school, where a teacher conducts a lesson. Although the teacher has taught the child how to do a math problem or spell a word, the child still needs help from his parents to do his homework. The same goes for dogs that attend obedience school.
