Making things neat

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I’d really like a neat looking garden and I know that one of the best things you can do is get hold of a good lawnmower in order to bring this about. Last year I decided to buy a Murray lawn mower because I had heard such good things about them and I can honestly say it really has been a good purchase because my lawn looks very neat and all my neighbors and friends say that it is an absolutely wonderful thing to look at.

Getting the plans

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

I have always wanted a greenhouse in my garden because I think there is nothing better than being able to grow your own plants and then eat them on your own table. However you do need to make sure you get the right type, and for this bit is usually a good idea to look at some greenhouse plans in order to make sure that you can build your own to the right specifications. It will take some time but it really is worth the effort and you will be truly glad that you went ahead and did it.

Hide the unwanted areas of your garden with decorative fence

Friday, June 20th, 2008

I have a beautiful garden in my backyard and I love to maintain it in spick n span condition. The only hindrance in the beauty of my garden is the small garbage area in the backyard which we use to dump our daily garbage. I was desperate to hide it somehow or the other so that no one can place their eyes on it when they praise the beauty of my garden. After trying other options, I happened to see a Decorative Fence in the garden of my neighbor. It suddenly gave me an idea which worked very well. I have installed it in the garbage area so that it is separated from my garden and the vision is blocked. The decorative fence has also multiplied the impressive looks of my garden.

Choosing hustler mowers

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

It was very difficult for me to choose the right land mower for my new bungalow’s garden. I wanted something that was easy to operate, economic, designed to have a long life. But the problem was that most of the models that had these qualities were either too expensive or made irritating noises or were too awkward to mount on. Finally I decided to go for Hustler Mowers on my friend’s advice. They suited my needs perfectly and I bought an electric cordless mower from them that gave me excellent value for money. My advice to everyone intending to buy a mower is to first research a bit before making the final decision.

Lawnmowers, Let Me Sleep!

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I hate waking on Saturday morning to the sound of my neighbor’s Petrol Lawnmower running. It is a sound I remember even as a young child. It is not a pleasant sound being woken to. I wish people would just let me sleep. I can’t even sleep with my windows open anymore because the growling sound will only be louder in my room. I need ear plugs. I just want to cuddle and sleep in for once, but I only know once the weather starts to get warm and it is lawnmowing season, that will not happen. Oh, how I love the winter.

Matching Your Patio Furniture With Your Decking

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

having a deck is a fantastic addition to almost any home and if you are considering adding decking to your home, you no doubt already know that it can often add value as well as beauty to your property. When planning your deck design don't forget to think about the type of deck patio furniture you will be using. You need to make sure the style matches your plans and that you can obtain the type of furniture you are thinking of. Some people prefer to go for a basic square deck, and that's fine, but others like to look around for different deck ideas and get something a little more personal to their tastes.

Attract Birds

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008

Other accessories that attract birds to your backyard bird gardens is the organic gardening .Birds control garden pests, along with insects such as gnats and mosquitoes. Mocking birds, warblers, vireos, wrens are some of the birds that eat insects and clean your backyard. By using native grasses in meadow patches we can attract birds to backyard as bird’s eats wild bird seed on native grasses. Large dead branches, standing dead trees, fallen trees, and stumps are excellent bird attracters and a pile of leaves in a corner attract sparrows and other birds.

Water Garden Plant Care- Some Tips

Friday, November 30th, 2007

The water garden plants one chooses should be healthy, particularly the marginal water plants. Otherwise all the elegance of the garden will be spoiled by diseased and dying plants. People should follow certain guidelines to reduce the likelihood of these events.

To begin with, they should be realistic while choosing the plant. Plants needing more care or not suitable to the environment should be avoided. They should check the presence of foliage or insects; study the nature of the plant before planting them. They should water them regularly either in morning or evening. Weeding and deadheading should be done regularly. The growth of algae should be checked. Lastly for any problem ask questions to the gardener.

Kelsyus Hammocks

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

If trees aren’t available and posts are not a kelsyus portable hammock option, you can still loll the remainder of the summer away in a hammock on its own stand. Stands made of redwood or cypresses are available, and there are many styles of metal stands. For small yards or balconies, try a ”hanging chair,” which is a cross between a porch swing and a hammock, and requires less space than either. It hangs from a single hook. Hammocks tend to stretch a bit in the weather, and their colors fade, but they age gracefully in the garden.
