A stocked up bottom freezer refrigerator is a lovely sight

Friday, August 8th, 2008

I serenade food and love cooking. I love to plan for each meal well in advance and do the preparations accordingly. I even love to prepare all the Jams and Jellys at home that are very easily available in the market and most people prefer to buy. I usually cook according to each person’s preference. So, my weekly shopping is very huge as every thing is picked up in bulk such as fruits some to consume raw and some for the Sauce, Jam or Jelly. I love the sight of my Bottom Freezer Refrigerator after such shopping sprees when it is well stocked and colorful.

Room darkening blinds are a blessing

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

After I got married my life changed completely. I used to be a spoilt brat and now I had to be a responsible individual who had to gradually adjust to everything. My mother-in-law always complained of severe headache and as the headache would start she would start vomiting. I took her to a doctor and then we came to know that her headache was due to migraine. As she had problems with the rise of the sun the very next day I arranged to get a Room Darkening Blinds for the window. After that day her frequency of headache has decreased as the sunlight cannot enter the room.

Putting My Real Estate License To Good Use

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Being a real estate agent has its perks and its pit falls. When I met a family who had lost their home to a fire and asked for my help in finding them a new place to live I knew I was about to experience on of the perks of having my inactive real estate license. As an agent I had access to service that shows agents all of the listings. I was able to narrow down the properties that were not only in there price range but ones that were also in the best school districts and close to shops and work.

Wondering About Cross-Country Moving

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

I got an offer for a great job. The only trouble is it’s in Seattle, and I live in Jersey. I’m dreading having to deal with
Cross-Country Moving. So expensive, and such a hassle.
So now I’m digging around on the Internet looking for Moving & Storage Companies, trying not to think about the terrible job of packing that’s ahead of me.
My back is killing me and I ache all over. I hope the new job is worth it.
Your comments are welcome as always.

Sustainable Houses

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Rising energy costs and global warming have seen in a shift in recent years away from rampant consumerism to looking at ways in which we can live more harmoniously with our surroundings. As such “sustainability” has become a guiding principle in all manner of decisions. Sustainability is about using our resources in an environmentally friendly and healthy way that provide for the long term needs of the community. Sustainable houses will emphasize two broad themes. It will be constructed of and furnished with environmentally sound materials and it will utilize energy as efficiently as possible.

Deep soaking tubs for therapeutic purpose

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Deep soaking tubs are much deeper than the normal bathtubs and are good for therapeutic purpose. When I recently had a fall and hurt my hips, I was advised a hip bath along with regular exercises. Thankfully, we have a deep soaking tub in one of the bathrooms, so it was possible for me to soothe my aching muscles everyday in warm water. This particular tub lets you sit up in almost vertical position while being fully engulfed in hot water. The water in such a tub remains warmer for a longer time. deep soaking tubs worked wonders for me and speeded up my healing process.

The traditional look

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

I am very much a traditionalist because I preferred the antique look to the modern look because I think that it really makes a place very relaxing to be in and for me that is the most important thing in the room. As part of the redesign of my lounge a few months ago I decided to fit antique oak flooring because I thought it would add a really nice style. I have been proved correct in this decision because everyone who sees the room says it looks absolutely wonderful.

Building Green Homes

Monday, July 21st, 2008

An important consideration of building green homes is that of using non-toxics paints and finishes. The chief benefit of using these types of products is that they’re designed to reduce “offgassing”- the process of emissions of toxins into the environment. These toxins are also referred to as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which will cause outdoor pollution. Companies such as AFM Safecoat will even go a step further and eliminate ingredients such as formaldehyde, ammonia, acetone and odor masking agents that cause indoor air pollution. In the same vein, green builders are now increasingly choosing plywood that is not manufactured with formaldehyde.

Making things neat

Monday, July 21st, 2008

I’d really like a neat looking garden and I know that one of the best things you can do is get hold of a good lawnmower in order to bring this about. Last year I decided to buy a Murray lawn mower because I had heard such good things about them and I can honestly say it really has been a good purchase because my lawn looks very neat and all my neighbors and friends say that it is an absolutely wonderful thing to look at.

Solar Heating Systems

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

solar heating systems was once relegated to tree huggers and the like, because it wasn’t all that cost effective. All that has changed, however, as the price of solar panels has dropped, and energy prices have risen. Now it can be a great investment.
Solar Heat Exchangers are great for homeowners that want to save money on energy in the long run, and are concerned about the environment as well.
So check out the figures and see if they’ll make financial sense for you. The planet will thank you.

Thoughts On Geo Thermo Heating And Cooling

Saturday, July 19th, 2008

I’ve been wanting to invest more in renewable energy lately, and I’ve discovered that Geo Thermo Heating and Cooling is a great way to do it. Investing both in a geothermal climate system, as well as shared of the company, seems like a good bet.
I’ve been reading up on
Climate Master Geothermal online, and my enthusiasm for geothermal heating and cooling has only grown. What a great resource!
I’m thinking I might buy a geothermal heat exchanger myself, if they are available in my area.
I’ll be looking forward to your comments.

My Personal Experience With Cross-Country Moving

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

I just got a job in another state. It’s great job, but Cross-Country Moving is such a pain, and so expensive. I’m dreading having to deal with it.

I know I’m just going to wait until the last minute to get the info I need on Cross Country Movers, and end up going on an all night marathon. Always seems to turn out that way.
My back is killing me and I ache all over. I hope the new job is worth it.
