Looking Into Selling Structured Settlements

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

I’ve been noticing a new crop of companies focusing on Selling Structured Settlements these kinds of services can provide value for people who need a lump-sum of cash right away, but folks should read the fine print carefully.
Looking into Certified Structured Settlement Consultants on the net, I’ve come up with more questions than answers. It’s tough to know what the best decision is.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to get enough information to make an informed choice.
Alright - that’s all for now.

Researching Structured Settlement Sales

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

I’ve been looking into
Structured Settlement Sales lately. The trouble with these deals is they almost always heavily favor the buyer.
My inquiries into Structured Settlement Payout on the Internet have done little to bring me closer to a decision. It’s been frustrating - there aren’t very many unbiased sources of information.
I’ll keep the research going, of course, but at the end of the day, I’m just going to have to make a decision at some point.
I’ll keep you posted.

Thinking About SEP IRA Retirement Plans

Monday, May 26th, 2008

Checked into the benefits package at my new job today, and it looks like they focus on
SEP IRA Retirement Plans for retirement, instead of the standard 401k plan. Looks like I have some reading to do. I had never even heard about these before today.
I’ve been researching Sep Retirement on the Internet this afternoon - found some decent beginner information. There’s still a lot to learn, though.
I’m hoping I’ll be able to set things up once and be done with it. Use dollar-cost averaging to smooth things out over time.

Online Banking

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

I’ve been looking into online banks lately. I’ve had enough of big local banks. Lousy rates and high fees - why stick with them? It’s time for a change, so I’m going to try something new. It’s your money, after all, and the banks make money off it just by virtue of having it. It hardly seems right that they would nickel and dime you to death with fees on top of it. Check out Washington Mutual Online Banking for example. Their rates are way higher than anything you can get at the big corporate banks. And banking online is easier than dealing with lines at tellers anyway. I mean, who wants to wait in line at a bank branch when you can get your business done in a few seconds online? If you’re not earning a good return, you might want to check them out as well.

Online Banks

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

I’m firing Citibank. They just aren’t a great deal anymore for my money. I’m looking at Washington Mutual instead, and some of the other High Yield Online Savings as well. Much better deals to be had. Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you are lending your money to the bank with these accounts, and they ought to be paying you. It’s not like you get to charge the bank fees when they loan you money, after all. Specifically, WaMu Online Personal Checking is a great deal. They pay good rates, and don’t charge all of those hidden fees that the big boys are always hitting you with. I mean, who wants to wait in line at a bank branch when you can get your business done in a few seconds online? You might want to look into the benefits of online banking yourself.

Using a Payday Loan Wisely

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

It’s not hard getting a payday loan if you are employed. That’s why more and more people are getting into this kind of loan, and in turn making the payday loan business a big industry. The sad part is many people are hooked on payday loans and they can’t get out from it. It’s because once you started it, and you were not able to pay it on time, the interest rate will just increase until such time that you will be caught in a vicious cycle of debt. So to avoid this, always make payday a loan your last option when you need cash. Also just borrow the amount you need and you can afford to pay.

Internet Banks

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

You know, I’m sick and tired of getting a lousy rate on my savings. I’ve decided to check out internet banks. It’s plain to me that most of the options there are a much better deal than I’ve been getting. I mean with the rates most big banks pay you, you’re not even keeping up with the huge rate of inflation in this country. Not even close. You’re actually losing money in real terms. Not exactly the sort of reward you’d like to get for saving. I poked around the net, and settled on ING Direct as the best option out there. They pay great rates, and don’t charge those ridiculous fees. Who cares if the big banks have more ATMs when they will refund your ATM fees from any other Bank? Now I can use any ATM in town. If you’re not earning a good return, you might want to check them out as well.
