Bankruptcy And Poor Housing Market.

Monday, July 21st, 2008

With the way our housing market and the US economy are right now it will be darn hard to find credit or loans for someone who has recently filed for Bankruptcy Services.

Several years ago, five or ten to be specific, it was not hard to find loans for homes or cars or even to get approved for credit cards if you had crummy credit.

However, with a new home owner defaulting on loans every 3 minutes out of the day, the lending industry is finally taking a stand on poor credit scores which is a little too late if you ask me.

Company Tax

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

The other day I and my boyfriend Arthur went bowling. We discussed a great deal about his limited liability corporation over a few greasy cheeseburgers and cokes. I asked him about the limited liability company tax, something that he wasn't aware of. And then it struck him that the limited liability company tax should be paid on the 1st day of the month of June every year.

Effects of Patents

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

A patent is a right that excludes others from using an invention for a fixed term. It is a right for the property that is limited, which the government gives inventors in return for an agreement for the details to be shared with the common people.

Just like the general property rights, it can be mortgaged, sold, transferred, licensed, assigned, abandoned or can be given to somebody. The rights differ from one country to another.

The intellectual property law firm bristol uk restricts the patentee from abusing the patent. The patentee can challenge the license, but must provide proof for the public requirements being met by the invention’s work.

The opportunities in property conveyancing

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008

One of my friends has recently started to work for a solicitors firm. She is currently just doing secretarial based work but has been given the chance to pursue other lines of work. One of the suggestions put forth by one of the partners was a conveyancing course. The company is looking to expand into this market so they are going to need qualified staff members to handle any work. There will be some study involved and she will need to get the necessary experience but it could be a great opportunity for her. In fact, it is a great idea for anyone who works in the legal field in a support role who would like to consider other career options.

Defendants in Malpractice

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Certain professions are likely to be defendants in malpractice cases and to need the services of a malpractice  defense lawyer. Doctors and other medical professionals, accountants, dentists and, ironically enough, lawyers themselves are often taken to court and sued for malpractice.

What a malpractice defense lawyer will do is attempt to prove that you aren’t liable, or at least that you’re not liable to the extent the plaintiff claims. A malpractice defense lawyer will argue in court that you did not breach your professional duty but did everything that you had to.

And in most cases, this is probably the case.

Advantages Of Pooled Charitable Trusts

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

Being a part of charitable pooled income funds can confer various benefits on the participant. As with other planned giving strategies, the individual would receive a deduction on tax for a part of the donation made by him. However, the part depends on the age of the person. It partly depends on the performance of the investment as well.

An individual may also enjoy a capital gains exemption as an added benefit. Donating their money in pooled charitable institutions also gives the donor an extra perk of getting back the money that he has invested.

The location is important

I knew that I wanted to form an LLC due to the simple fact that I know many people in business and all of them tell me that forming my own company is one of the best things that I could do, because on the one hand it gives you a greater feeling of respect for your business activities, and on the other it gives you limited liability and protects your personal assets. The question for me though, was not whether to form an LLC but where to form an LLC, since it is now possible to form an LLC in another state or even another country. In the end I decided that a Delaware LLC would be best for my purposes and I went ahead with the formation and have never been dissatisfied.
