Employers Liability And The Spice Rack
I run a lovely little cafe down on Main street in a tiny, midwestern town. I serve fair trade coffee and chocolate, homemade pastries, healthy food, nutrition supplements, and a variety of fair trade spices. What I'm wondering is, does my contractor's insurance insurance cover my employees in the event that one of them would have an allergic reaction to one of the spices? I carry pretty exotic spices, from all over the world, so people wouldn't necessarily be familiar with whether or not they're allergic to them. They have to serve them, so it's important to know whether they'd be covered or not.
